Vintage jadeite mined and carved prior to the year 2000 A grade genuine and natural. 64mm flat inside diameter, 12mm wide. Rare to find natural color in a jade bangle this larger size. Icy cold jadeite stone, silky smooth polish. Elegant. This is the kind of jade that looks more pretty as you wear it. It has fine grain of the old "lao pit" jadeite stone, indicated by high "chime". Not only lovely to wear, but also an investment in this precious, rare old jadeite no longer available today.
Purchased directly from the jade carver during our travels to traditional jade cities near the Burma border while shopping in China. The jade carvers do not make jade for export, it is not commercial quality. It is the kind of jade Chinese people keep for themselves. Tested by refraction to assure genuine Burmese jadeite.
